2015 and Beyond By Alex Paramo
Community Publishing‘s website – http://commmunitypublishing.org was launched in June of 2014 with the idea of giving a local artists of all mediums a global platform, which in turn gives them greater visibility locally and the benefits are reaped by the community. Through our creative collaborations that culminate in Multimedia Books, our multi-author blog platform and our multiple-media approach, we are taking control of technology and using it promote literacy, critical thinking and freedom of expression. A brief review of 2014:
- Fiona the Funkadelic Freckle Fairy Multimedia Book release/January 2014 – our Second Multimedia Book Release features the art of Audrey McNamara and the writing of AJ Roche
- Community Publishing became a Partner at the Rail Yards Market, providing planning, programming and Digital Marketing services
- Princess Marisol & the Moon Thieves – adapted for the stage performed by Fusion Theatre Company – toured in the Summer of 2014
- Fiona the Funkadelic Freckle Fairy Print Edition – Our first print edition of our books was released in late the fall of 2014
2015 and Beyond
We have many stimulating projects headed your way in 2015 including:
- Our Multi-Author Blog platform will continue bringing the thoughts and talents from around all the arts mediums!
- The Community Spotlight will continue on the Morning Brew Television Program. Dedicated to casting a spotlight on all the wonderful local artists, organizers, educators and community-minded folks: January 20
- The Community Spotlight Vlog Cast will launch. We are excited to announce a partnership with HighDefEntertainment | Affinity Music Group: *January
- Princess Marisol & the Moon Thieves Print Edition: *January
- Samuel’s Story Multimedia Children’s Book and Print Edition by Hakim Bellamy and Illustrated by Melvin Mayes: *February
- Bella the Caterpillar (Animated Multimedia Children’s Book and Print Edition) – written by 7 year old Marisol Paramo, Music by Christian Orellana, Illustrated by Acey May and Animated by Donnine Canamar. Some of the proceeds of this book will go to benefit the New Mexico Academy of Rock & Blues
- The Grand Fantastic Life of DJ Flo Fader Multimedia Photo Book (Fictionalized Biography) featuring the music of DJ Flo Fader – by Alex Paramo – photographs by Alex Lopez: *March
- The art work, music and storytelling of Seth Hoffman (Children’s Multimedia and Print Book)
- The artwork and talent of Educator Alexandra Villagas (Children’s Multimedia and Print Book).
- Princess Marisol & the Portal (Animated Multimedia Children’s Book) is the sequel to Princess Marisol & the Moon Thieves. It will feature the Music of Keith Sanchez and the Illustrations of Chris Lopez! This will be the final project of our publishing cycle!
