Most people tune out their surroundings when they are walking out in the city and disconnect from the environment around them. When someone puts out art for people to find and observe it helps to bring that attention back and also brings into focus an eye for art-ifacts.
When people check in on the Free Art Friday Albuquerque facebook page to find visual clues where to find the art they can then go on the search for art and become an Artiologist! This process is interactive so the art finder becomes part of the process too! The excitement of being on an art mission to find creative treasure is sure to make anyone feel like an Art Explorer! So often art is experienced just by going into a gallery and looking at it on a wall where they can’t touch it or interact with it.
A big and important part of the Free Art Friday experience is people getting to interact with the art. When someone can pick up and hold the art that they may or may not want to take home they get a chance to feel the art and get more of their senses involved in the process. The thrill of an art hunt is sure to bring joy to at any age! Now is your chance, let your love of art be your guide!
