Celebrating Treasured Places by Stephanie Galloway
Each of us has our favorite places to go here in Albuquerque, whether it is a local coffee shop or museum we all have special places we like to frequently visit here in town. There are good feelings that come along with going to our favorite spots. I like to go to areas that remind me of fun times I have had with friends or that provide a nurturing environment that stimulates my creativity.
Parks are some of my favorite places in the city because they provide an outside space where one can commune with nature and play. I like to celebrate and show appreciation for these spaces by leaving art in those areas for Free Art Friday. So if you have a favorite spot you like to visit here in Albuquerque leaving a gift of art in gratitude for its existence is a great way to celebrate it!
