This page deals with the birth of the AWAKENER in a high tech petri dish of sorts. Also we have a voice over from one of the Cyclops Scientists expressing dismay over the lack of control they have over their accidental being. Thinking more about this the AWAKENER is more like the unwanted child or the kid who just didn’t turn out right.
Personally I don’t have kids and find it hard to image what I would do if they did turn to the dark side. I have seen this happen to others though. One solution was to disown them never to speak or have interactions with their offspring again. Also I have seen the opposite, hold them close,work with them and hope they turn around. Did I see either tactic lead to a better person? Nope. It has to come from within. A nurturing environment can do a lot butthe person has to want transformation first. This is ultimately what this particular ASTRO MONK story is about.
