“I am a wife, working mom and have a love for all things cupcake. While working at a jewelry store in college I stumbled across a shiny silver bracelet with a small cupcake pendant that caught my eye. I purchased the bracelet & that’s when my love for cupcakes began. That’s it. That’s really how it started!”

Author’s Statement
“The idea for the book started in 2016, when our daughter, Kiah, was born. We waited to find out the gender so needless to say when she was born a girl I was very excited for all of the cupcake clothes she’d be able to wear. As she grew, that artistic spark flared in me and I knew that I wanted to create something memorable for her. I’ve never been a baker, although I’ve tried, so I thought about writing a children’s book. It was only fitting to write it about two things I love: my family and cupcakes.
Reading with my children is a time for us to bond, to be silly and get lost in the stories. I especially love interactive books like “Don’t push the button” by Bill Cotter. I’ve dreamt of the day that I get to read Kiah’s story to her & for her to see herself in the illustrations and oh how silly it will be. What a joy it is that I also get to share this story with all readers of the world. My hope is that no matter what my children do in life they remember the value of reading and the wonderful places books can take them.”
